As we all know, today was Drake’s knee surgery. Quoted below @FutureThePrince says…

Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem have reportedly joined forces in Florida to shoot a video for their latest collaboration “Forever”.
While a release date has not yet been announced, the music video has reportedly begun filming in Miami.
Just a week into the month of September and the videos for two of this summer’s biggest records are being shot in Miami. First, the music video, “Forever,” featuring hip-hop heavyweights, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Eminem & Drake. Yesterday (September 6) morning, Birdman began shooting the video for his 2nd single off his Pricele$$ album, “Money To Blow” which also features Cash Money/Young Money’s very own, Lil Wayne & Drake. Monday is also Day 2 of the “Money To Blow” video shoot. Talk about a busy start of the week! (All Things Fresh)
Jeezy And Drake Mixtape?
Oh boy. There’s a lot of drama in the rumor mill today so we gonna start it off with something a little more positive. First off the AMW tour is in full effect and nothing but rave reviews are coming in from the road. Despite Drake being absent for most of the tour so far, his presence is still felt and it looks like some collabo work may be coming.
Drake has been an adamant fan of Jeezy since he came in the game, even citing the trapper as his favorite rapper. So far the two have done two tracks together and it is being said the two might link up for an official mixtape. The source who hit me with this info said it was initially Drake’s idea, but Jeezy was all for it when the idea was presented.
This would be a good look. The only thing I’m worried about though is I know Drake is working on his album, so maybe this is just a RUMOR. Either way stay tuned and we’ll have to wait and see…
Everybody remembers the infamous moment where Drake had quite a slip up during a performance that resulted in him being carried off stage. His injury resulted in him being further sidelined as he had to take himself away from the America’s Most Wanted Tour alongside his Young Money general Lil Wayne.
A blog titled, Angels and Demons, from the rapper updated fans on exactly what was going on with his injury and gave the full extent on his circumstances.
“I am about 2 hours away from Toronto, CA where I will be spending the next chunk of time recovering from a surgery that I now must have. I embarked on this tour with a torn ACL, MCL, and LCL and due to the events that happened the other night Lord only knows what other damage I have done.”
People are still debating over who had the best verse on “Forever,” the all-star collaboration that leaked earlier this week featuring Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem.
But if you ask the newcomer on that list, Drake, it looks like he’s partial to his mentor, the New Orleans lyricist. Although Drake wouldn’t fully come out and admit it, he did say his favorite rhyme on the track was delivered by Wayne.
Rapper Drake who recently signed on to Cash Money Millionaire Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment label was recently spotted visiting family in Memphis.
According to Hip Hop News Daily, Drake, along with his ‘fam’ were spotted at Wet Willie’s restaurant and bar on Beale Street in downtown, Memphis, TN.
Drake real name Aubrey Drake Graham, 22, and his father, Dennis Graham, a drummer who’s worked with the likes of infamous rock and roll singer/pianist Jerry Lee Lewis, were all in the bar doing a karaoke rendition.
After spending a few hours at Wet Willie’s, they then reportedly headed to the award winning “Platinum Rose” strip club for a “night cap.”
In related news, Drake is currently making appearances with Lil Wayne, along with the newly signed first lady of Young Money, Nicki Minaj, on the America’s Most Wanted Tour, and Drake is reportedly working on his debut album on Young Money entitled Thank Me Later.
Drake’s album “Thank Me Later” is slated for release early 2010 on Young Money/Cash Money with distribution through Universal Republic. Expected features on the album include Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Young Jeezy, Kanye West, Eminem, and Jay-Z, amongst others.
Drake fans will have to settle for an EP this year. The rapper-singer’s much-anticipated debut album will not be coming out in 2009.
Drake will spend the remainder of the year recovering from knee surgery, which he will undergo on September 8, and recording his album Thank Me Later, due mid-February 2010 (Valentine’s Day??????), according to his rep.
The “Successful” star, who’s already collaborated with Jay-Z and Eminem, is working with Lil Wayne, Justin Timberlake, and Timbaland on the project.
Earlier this week in New York, Drake participated in a photo shoot with Kid Cudi and Wale for GQ magazine’s Men of the Year issue. His mixtape, So Far Gone, will be released commercially with seven tracks on September 15.
