Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem have reportedly joined forces in Florida to shoot a video for their latest collaboration “Forever”.

While a release date has not yet been announced, the music video has reportedly begun filming in Miami.

Just a week into the month of September and the videos for two of this summer’s biggest records are being shot in Miami. First, the music video, “Forever,” featuring hip-hop heavyweights, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Eminem & Drake. Yesterday (September 6) morning, Birdman began shooting the video for his 2nd single off his Pricele$$ album, “Money To Blow” which also features Cash Money/Young Money’s very own, Lil Wayne & Drake. Monday is also Day 2 of the “Money To Blow” video shoot. Talk about a busy start of the week! (All Things Fresh)

Last month, speculation grew over a possible “Forever” music video and who would be behind directing it.

And while “Swagga Like Us” was performed on the Grammys but never got a video, plans call for Drake, Wayne, West, and Em to shoot a clip for “Forever” next month in New York and directed by Hype Williams. (MTV)

The song’s producer, Boi-1da, recently shared his reaction to the star-studded record.

“It was originally supposed to be a song that Drake was supposed to come out to, maybe we were trying to make it like a first single,” he explained. “Somehow it got leaked out onto the Internet, a version with him, Wayne and some dude named [Nut da] Kid and everybody was upset about it or whatever, but we knew that it was just a huge record and we had to do it justice…Honestly I’m gonna have to be biased and say Drake [had the best verse.] Really it’s between Drake and Eminem. I’ve never seen anybody hold up on a song with Eminem, like usually Eminem blows out. Drake’s my dude, and he’s my favorite rapper, but knowing Eminem I thought he was gonna blow by everybody, but Drake came strong. It’s like a toss up. And like that’s never been done before, I never heard a toss up between Eminem, it’s always just Eminem cause he’s a monster.” (XXLMag)

Drizzy led the song and reflected on his rise as an independent artist to critical acclaim.

“Last name Ever, first name Greatest,” Drake raps. “Like a sprained ankle, boy, I ain’t nothin’ to play with/Started off local, but thanks to all the haters/I know G4 pilots on a first-name basis/In your city faded off the brown, Nino/She insists she got more class, we know/Swimming in the money, come and find me, Nemo/If I was at the club you know I balled, chemo/Dropped a mixtape, that sh*t sounded like an album/Who’d thought a country-wide tour be the outcome Labels want my name beside an X like Malcolm/Every got a deal, I did it without one Yeah, n*gga, I’m about my business/Killin’ all these rappers, you would swear I had a hitlist Everyone who doubted me is askin’ for forgiveness/If you ain’t been a part of it, at least you got to witness/B*tches.” (“Forever”)
