Drake was suppose to perform at South Street Seaport event but with the crowd getting too wild, the cops had to shut it down. That didn’t stop Drake from celebrating the release of his new album. He celebrated at his Drake x Crown Royal x 5Ninth in New York with Birdman, Fabolous, Tyga, and more.

The Drakeover kicked off on Tuesday with Drake’s in-store appearance at Best Buy in New York’s Union Square. Lines wrapped around the block as eager fans, some crying, waited to meet their idol on his long-awaited album release day.

At his show at the 9:30 Club on Sunday night, Drake acknowledged the pressure: “I’ve been on edge – in about 24 hours, I got an album coming out.”
He may have been anxious, but Drake’s performance didn’t show it: with a DJ and band, he ripped through tracks from his mixtapes (including “So Far Gone”), the “We Are Young Money” album and a couple of selections from his debut.
Drake will be having a CD signing tomorrow in New York @ Best Buy Union Square on 14th Street. As you can see the line is geting pretty big already.
Drake did some shopping at a D.C. mall over the weekend before teaming up with Green The Block and The Hip-Hop Caucus to perform at a “Stop The Off Shore Drilling” rally on Sunday (June 13).
On Saturday, June 12, not even some suspect weather could stop Hot 104.1 FM’s Super Jam 3 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. Drake, Gucci Mane, Mario and special guests such as Murphy Lee and Chingy showed up to make the day a success. Jon Gitchoff was at the show and took a bunch of photos.
Looks like some paparazzi found its way to Drake in London, England.
