If you were following Drake back in the day during his ‘Comeback Season’ days, I’m sure you’ve heard the name Adreena Mill. Well, she no longer goes by Adreena Mill, but instead just Adreena. In a recent interview with Sherry Kate of HustleGRL, Adreena spoke a little on what it was like to work with Drake during that time.

“I’d like to introduce you to the 1st lady of ATF, Miss Adreena Mill”, Drake says on “Closer To My Dreams” as Adreena sang the hook. “Closer To My Dreams” is actually one of the first Drake songs I heard and turned me into a believer. The Goapele cover was perfect with Drake’s verses and Adreena adding her own personal touch to the hook. Adreena was also found on that mixtape with the song “The Last Hope” which also featured Kardinal Offishall. Since these times, Adreena has been working on her dreams and continuing to sing and songwrite. You can read what Adreena had to say about Drake below and catch the full interview here.

Back when you collaborated with Drake on Comeback Season. What did it feel like to collaborate with him then, and see how much he has evolved as an artist today much like yourself?
Drake has always been an amazing artist it just took time for the world to see what a few of us saw budding in the studio at the time. Working with him never felt like work. We always had a plan and executed within an hour and then went to McDonald’s, haha. It’s easy to collaborate with others who are as passionate and as dedicated to what they love.
